Job Overview

•  Compensation:$48,355 and $73,191.
• Location: Trenton, NJ, United States
• Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, Contract; On-site
• Expected Hours: 25 – 40 per week

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and sterilize operating rooms and surgical instruments prior to procedures.
• Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and anticipating needs.
• Maintain a sterile environment to prevent infections.
• Ensure all surgical equipment is functioning properly.
• Handle specimens taken for laboratory analysis.
• Perform counts of sponges, needles, and instruments to ensure none are retained in patients.
• Assist in patient preparation and transport to and from the operating room.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and surgical procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in various surgical specialties.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
