Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ physical, mental, and emotional conditions to diagnose functional limitations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at improving daily living and work skills.
• Utilize various occupational therapy techniques, including exercises, manual therapy, and adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercises, and strategies for post-therapy care.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, documenting progress and modifying treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Valid state licensure to practice as an Occupational Therapist in New Jersey.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in using computer systems for patient record management.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience in a clinical setting is advantageous but not required.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Specialized certifications in areas such as pediatrics, geriatrics, or mental health occupational therapy are a plus.
