Job Overview

• Compensation: $48,000–$55,000 annually

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze medical records to assign accurate codes for diagnoses, treatments, and procedures.
• Submit claims to insurance companies and follow up on unpaid or rejected claims.
• Ensure compliance with federal regulations, insurance guidelines, and healthcare laws.
• Work closely with healthcare providers to verify billing accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain updated knowledge of coding systems, billing software, and regulatory changes.
• Generate reports and provide insights to optimize the revenue cycle.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in Health Information Management or a related field preferred.
• Certification in medical coding (CPC, CCS, or equivalent).
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) and billing software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Medicare and Medicaid billing.
• Knowledge of insurance claim processes and revenue cycle management.
• Advanced coding certifications or specializations.
